GOETEC

Supporting digital transformation through collaboration

Welcome to GOETEC, a partnership of Higher and Further Education (HE/FE) and Public sector organisations focusing on Information Technology and Systems (IT/IS) as an enabler of digital transformation.

GOETEC aims to:

  • To advocate on behalf of, and promote, the activities of a community of skilled public sector IT and related professionals on a local, regional, and national level.
  • To support this collaborative community enabling them to implement meaningful digital transformation to deliver their corporate objectives.
  • To facilitate mutually beneficial collaborative working, along with the sharing of good practice and learning opportunities, connecting to like-minded professionals in related sectors.
  • To identify additional opportunities to expand the community, increasing its impact and resilience.

GOETEC has a strong history of collaborative working over the last 20+ years and works closely with Jisc and the Kent Public Service Network (KPSN), to ensure all connected member sites in the region enjoy reliable network service and work together to maximise individual benefit.  In addition the members have worked together on improving cyber security, identification of professional development opportunities for IS/IT staff, a programme of digital events, knowledge exchange workshops and identification and sharing of good practice among the IS/IT community and beyond.

GOETEC offers its members the benefit of an established collaboration focused on HE/FE and the broader public sector. GOETEC ensures access to an effective whole area infrastructure fit for purpose and gives a platform to leverage benefit from collaboration and meaningful relationships between members and the broader public sector.
