What is ITIL 4?
- ITIL 4 is an adaptable framework for managing and delivering IT services, which aims to optimise digital technology.
- ITIL 4 aligns IT with business, controls or reduces IT costs, improves IT service quality and helps balance IT resources. The adoption of ITIL provides a standard approach to service management across the organisation.
Who is ITIL 4 training for?
- ITIL 4 training is for any staff member involved in managing, providing, supporting or delivering IT services.
OPTION 1:
- Course: ITIL 4 Awareness Training (one day)
- Date: Monday 2 March 2026
- Time: 09:00-17:00
- Venue: University of Kent, Canterbury campus
- Cost: Members: £132 (inclusive) per person; Non-members £146 (inclusive) per person
Awareness Course Summary:
The ITIL 4 Awareness training is a one-day introductory course which provides learners with the opportunity to understand the essential concepts of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management. The trainer will adapt and respond to the individual approaches and needs of participants and their organisations.
What’s included?
- All learning materials provided electronically.
- Certificate of Attendance issued after the event.
- Free parking available on campus (must be reserved in advance).
- Tea, coffee and refreshments included.
- Lunch is by own arrangement. There are plenty of catering outlets across campus.
- Time for networking with colleagues.

- Course: ITIL 4 Foundation Certification Training (three day)
- Date: Tuesday 3 March – Thursday 5 March 2026
- Time: 09:00-17:00
- Venue: University of Kent, Canterbury campus
- Cost: members: £1200 (inclusive) non-members: £1350 (inclusive) per person
Foundation Course Summary:
The ITIL 4 Foundation Certification Training is a three-day course including examination. Learners are provided with the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the application of ITIL, the key concepts of IT and digital service delivery and how embracing a service management culture can help their organisation. The course will help you understand how modern IT and digital services operate, how to increase speed and efficiency, how cultural and behavioural principles guide work for wider benefits and how to use service management terms and concepts. - In-classroom mock exam
- In-classroom ITIL Foundation exam
- Free online resit, if needed (costs £245 normally)
